Roadmap
The roadmap describes a forward-looking research program. Future milestones are strategic targets and should not be interpreted as completed achievements.
Phase sequence
Consolidate the geoinformatics core
Standardize spatial data, WebGIS/WebGeo workflows, environmental datasets, reproducible code, and clear evidence documentation.
Build environmental simulation capacity
Develop landscape-dynamics, CA, ABM, and system-dynamics components for coupled human–environment questions.
Develop Vietnamese GeoNLP
Connect place names, environmental documents, local knowledge, policy evidence, ontologies, and geographic knowledge graphs.
Integrate GeoAI and spatial agents
Combine spatial machine learning, graph reasoning, map-aware tools, geographic memory, and language reasoning.
Operationalize decision systems
Deliver auditable, human-in-the-loop systems for environmental planning, climate adaptation, and spatial decision support.
Capability ladder
Quality targets
- A coherent research identity centered on geoinformatics and environmental systems.
- Reusable code, datasets, methods, and WebGeo/WebGIS components.
- A connected publication sequence rather than unrelated papers.
- Strong separation between verified outputs and proposed work.
- Internationally legible research framing without unsupported ranking claims.
- Increasing integration of simulation, GeoAI, GeoNLP, and spatial agents.
- Transparent evidence chains from geographic observations to model-assisted decisions.
